Pete Jones

Pete Jones is a Senior Scientist at iThemba LABS since 2012, where roles include Acting Head of the Separated Sector Cyclotron Laboratory, Acting Head of Research and Development Technical Support, and User Liaison Officer and Beam Schedule Coordinator. Additionally, Pete serves as a lecturer in data analysis and detectors for master's students at both SAINTS@tlabs and the University of the Western Cape, and coordinates the AFRODITE Facility. Active in the international scientific community, Pete has been a CERN-ISOLDE User since 2016 and a member of IEEE since 2019. Prior to joining iThemba LABS, Pete was a researcher at the University of Jyväskylä from 1994 to 2011. Pete holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics, both from the University of Liverpool.
