Rakesh Markhedkar

RAKESH MARKHEDKAR serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Vikran Engineering Ltd., an EPC conglomerate specializing in power, water, railway infrastructure, and industrial projects since November 2015, overseeing operations across 22 states and 104 locations. Previously, RAKESH held the position of President at Bajaj Electricals Ltd. from November 2012 to November 2015, where responsibilities included management of EPC projects for power transmission and distribution. RAKESH also served as CEO of Projects at Emco Ltd. from August 2005 to February 2012, and as Senior Manager at Larsen & Toubro Limited from July 1990 to August 2003, focusing on the execution of EPC power and infrastructure projects. Additionally, RAKESH currently holds the position of Chairman for the Western Region of the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA) since August 2022. RAKESH holds a degree in General Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a Master’s in Quality Management from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
