Alex Amparo

Alex Amparo serves as the Vice President for Critical Infrastructure at IEM since February 2023, previously holding various leadership roles at FEMA from May 2010 to February 2023, including Assistant Administrator for the National Preparedness Directorate and Recovery Directorate. Alex's extensive experience includes directing emergency management and legislative affairs at the Governor's Commission on Volunteerism from May 1999 to May 2010 and providing senior management analysis in the Executive Office of the Governor from July 1995 to January 1999. Alex began a career in public service as Deputy Executive Director of the Florida State Commission on Hispanic Affairs from February 1993 to June 1995. Alex holds an MBA from California State University-Dominguez Hills and a degree from Florida State University - College of Business.
