Ian Vaughan

Ian Vaughan is an experienced chemical engineer with a comprehensive background in process safety and management. Currently serving as a Senior Process Safety Engineer I at IES Engineers, Ian has previously held roles such as Process Manager at ACTEGA and Senior Process Engineer at American Biltrite Inc. Ian's expertise includes leading safety initiatives, enhancing process control to reduce production waste, and optimizing maintenance programs. Key achievements include commissioning a $300 million automotive expansion at Arconic and improving operational efficiency through automation and continuous improvement practices at Lonza. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University and has completed a study abroad program at the University of Ruhr in Germany.
