Rick Sacks

Senior Manager, Environmental Site Investigation, Remediation & Decommissioning at IES Engineers

Mr. Sacks is a hydrogeologist with more than 29 years of experience in the environmental field performing site investigations and groundwater studies. He has conducted and managed Remedial Investigations under CERCLA, Facility Investigations/Corrective Measures Studies under RCRA, Pennsylvania Act 2, New Jersey ISRA, Massachusetts Contingency Plans, and other projects. He has experience with groundwater modeling and other computer applications for data handling and interpretation.

Mr. Sacks has provided litigation support for cost recovery suits, including technical support, strategy/planning assistance, and deposition as an expert witness. He has served in negotiations with state and federal regulatory agencies related to site investigation and remediation requirements for industrial, commercial, and municipal sites.

He is a licensed geologist in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Tennessee, and New Hampshire. Additionally, he has served as a laboratory instructor for courses in physical geology, mineralogy, igneous and metamorphic petrology, oceanography, and field studies at Temple University. He joined IES in 2012.
