Ivana Sarmiento

Ivana Sarmiento has been working in the field of design and marketing since 2015. Ivana began their career as Creative Director and UX Designer at iFactum - Highweb & Page Group Inc., where they conducted research on user requirements and solutions, updated and reviewed project plans and scopes, and collaborated with project managers and programmers. In 2016, they took on the role of Private Tutor at the Academy for Mathematics and English. In 2017, they became a Marketing Intern at Sysco Canada Inc., where they drafted promotional content, wrote social media posts, and edited promotional articles, presentation scripts, and other promotional materials. Finally, in 2018, they became a Teaching Assistant at Sheridan College, where they assisted with teaching visual design classes, directed class tutorials, and provided academic guidance for students.

Ivana Sarmiento has an extensive educational background. Ivana began their studies in 2014 at the University of Toronto, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Culture Information Technology (CCIT) and Professional Writing. During their time at the University of Toronto, they also earned a Certificate in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Sheridan College in 2015 and a Certificate in Creative Writing from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in 2016. In 2020, they began pursuing an MSt in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Cambridge, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
