Barbara Birdsey

Vice Chair at IFAW

Barbara Birdsey’s passion for wildlife started as a child growing up on the waterfronts of Cape Cod. Since then, she has devoted her career to preserving the natural habitats that define her childhood memories.

As a founder of the Pegasus Foundation, she advocates for habitat preservation and wildlife education for the public across the United States, Kenya, and the Caribbean Islands. She also started the Orenda Wildlife Land Trust and co-founded the Cape Cod Stranding Network.

Barbara’s passion for wildlife and conservation efforts makes her an important member of IFAW’s Board of Directors.
