Samik Dasgupta

Samik Dasgupta is the current General Manager at IFCI Ltd. Prior to this position, they served as the Managing Director at IFCI Factors Ltd from April 2017 to March 2018. Samik was responsible for leading the company during a difficult financial period and successfully turned it around.

Dasgupta has a long history of working in the financial sector in India. Samik began their career at IFCI Ltd, where they worked their way up to becoming the General Manager. Samik then moved to IFCI Factors Ltd, where they served as the Managing Director.

During their time at IFCI Factors Ltd, Dasgupta was successful in increasing recovery rates and restructuring existing loans. Samik also managed to raise a Us Dollar line of credit despite the company's sinking balance sheet. Their 11 month tenure at the company ended with IFCI Factors Ltd reporting a profit of Rs 61.5 lakh in Q4.

Samik Dasgupta has a Bachelor's degree in G G C from Banaras Hindu University, a PGDM in Finance from Amity University, and a certificate in Appraisal of Hydro Electric Projects from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Samik also has a certificate in Project Finance for Highways from Euromoney, a certificate in Appraisal of Thermal Power Projects from the Power Management Institute, NTPC, and a certificate in Corporate Valuation & Restructuring from Euromoney. Samik is also a licentiate member of the Insurance Institute of India (III).
