Iñigo Canalejo

VP, ESG at IFCO

Iñigo Canalejo is the current Vice President of ESG at IFCO. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Sustainability & Government Affairs EMEA at Brambles from October 2020 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for developing the 2025 Global and Regional Sustainability Strategy, as well as leading global and regional teams to execute on 2025 targets. Canalejo has also worked extensively on lobbying engagement with the EU Commission on Circular Economy & Reuse.

From September 2016 to October 2018, Canalejo served as the Director of Sustainability - Europe, Africa, India & Middle East at Brambles. In this role, they expanded the company's strategy and plans to South Africa, the Middle East, and India. Iñigo also delivered on Strategy and commitments, both internally and with partners, and managed cross functional/regional teams to ensure delivery on program.

From November 2018 to September 2020, Canalejo served as the Lead Director for Brexit at CHEP. In this role, they ensured CHEP Europe's preparedness for any potential Brexit scenario. Iñigo implemented and led a Taskforce and Steering Committee to execute risk mitigation plans. Iñigo also managed a governance model, internal and external stakeholder engagement, and led industry-wide negotiations with Goverments to a successful operational implementation.

Canalejo began their career at CHEP in August 2004 as a Senior Manager of Sustainability in

Iñigo Canalejo has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, an MBA from IESE Business School, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University. Iñigo also has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hochschule Esslingen - University of Applied Sciences and is Six Sigma certified in Six Sigma Green Belt.

Iñigo Canalejo works with Christoph Trixl - VP North Central Europe, Marcos Martinez De Hoz - VP Latin America, and Anastasios Papadopoulos - VP Asset Productivity & Logistics Execution. Iñigo Canalejo reports to Michael Pooley, CEO.
