Xiaodong Tao

Xiaodong Tao is the CEO of iFLYTEK Health. Xiaodong has been in this position for 5 years and 7 months. Prior to this, they were the CEO of iFLYTEK.

Tao was born in China in 1965. Xiaodong received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1988. Xiaodong then went on to receive their Master's degree in Business Administration from Peking University in 1992.

Tao began their career as an engineer at a state-owned enterprise. Xiaodong then transitioned into the private sector, taking on various managerial roles at several companies before becoming the CEO of iFLYTEK in 2001.

Under Tao's leadership, iFLYTEK has become one of the world's leading artificial intelligence companies. It is now a publicly traded company with a market capitalization of over US$20 billion.

Tao is a member of the Chinese Communist Party and has been awarded the title of "National Model Worker". Xiaodong was also named one of the "Top 10 Outstanding Youths of China" in 2006.

Xiaodong Tao attended the Johns Hopkins University from 1999 to 2005, where they studied electrical and computer engineering. From 1998 to 1999, they studied electrical engineering at the University of Delaware. Xiaodong also holds a MEng from the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Acoustics, which they obtained in 1998 after studying information processing from 1995 to 1998. Finally, Tao holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Science and Technology of China, which they obtained in 1995 after studying electrical engineering and information science from 1990 to 1995.
