Nate Faris

Nate Faris is an experienced Sales Engineer at ifm since November 2020, where innovative problem-solving is a key focus in assisting manufacturers. Previously, Nate held the position of Product & Process Engineering Lead at A. O. Smith Corporation from November 2015 to August 2020, leading the transition of new products into production and addressing equipment and quality issues on the manufacturing floor. Prior experience includes roles as Project Engineer, where Nate refreshed outdated product lines and resolved warranty failures, and as Design Engineer at Atlas Copco, focusing on efficient assembly practices and product design challenges. Early career experience includes designing overhead power components at AFL Telecommunications and an engineering co-op at The Timken Company, which sparked a strong interest in process improvement. Nate holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and has also studied at Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.
