Laurenz Scheunemann

Laurenz Scheunemann serves as a Consultant for Democracy, Participation and Open Government at ifok GmbH since June 2023, focusing on the intersection of policy innovation, citizen engagement, and behavioral science. Currently a Behavioural Research Fellow at the eMBeD Unit of the World Bank, Laurenz has a diverse background including roles at the European Commission, The Behavioural Insights Team, and the Mercator Fellowship on International Affairs, where emphasis was placed on using behavioral evidence for effective policy-making. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science from the University of Oxford in Evidence-based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation, alongside dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Politics from the University of Konstanz. Additional training includes experience in organizational psychology, human rights, and the implementation of evidence-informed recruitment procedures within international organizations.
