Joy Laws

Joy Laws is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, currently serving as the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at IG Design Group Plc since June 2018. Previously, Joy held the position of Interim General Counsel at Joules for one year and spent nearly five years as Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel for Avon Cosmetics Limited across the UK and EMEA. Joy's expertise encompasses commercial contracts, data privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements, gained through roles that required independent guidance and collaboration with leadership teams. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Legal Counsel at Selex Galileo, providing legal support to a large workforce. Joy holds a B.A. in Economics from Lancaster University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Middlesex University, and a Post Graduate Legal Practice Course from the University of Westminster.
