Vinayak Kapatral Ph.D

Vinayak Kapatral, Ph.D, has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Vinayak started their career at I.G Assets Inc in November 2000, where they served as a Scientist Bioinformatics until June 2002. Vinayak then worked at I.G Assets Inc as a Sr. Scientist Bioinformatics from August 2005 to January 2011. From December 2010 to August 2012, they held the position of VP. Business Development at I.G Assets Inc. Vinayak also had a role as Executive Director and VP Business Development at I.G Assets Inc from May 2012 to June 2013.

In June 2013, they became President and CEO of Igenbio. Inc, where they were responsible for managing all aspects of the company, including operations, marketing, and development. Igenbio. Inc specializes in providing genomics and bioinformatics services for microbial and eukaryotic genomes with its platform ERGO.

Vinayak Kapatral, Ph.D has an extensive education history. Vinayak completed their Ph.D in Bacteriology at the University of Idaho from 1989 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained their MSc in Microbiology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, from 1986 to 1988. Vinayak continued their education at the same institution and earned their BSc in Agriculture Sciences from 1981 to 1985.

In the field of business management, Vinayak earned a Master Certificate in Business Management from Tulane University - A.B. Freeman School of Business in 2008 to 2009.

Additionally, they pursued a Post-Doctoral program in Bacterial Pathogenesis at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1997 to 2000.

Before their tertiary education, Vinayak Kapatral completed their high school education at National Public School, where they studied Science, Maths, English, and Hindi.
