Stefan Van den Branden has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Stefan started their career in 1994 at UCB, where they held multiple roles including Head of Research Lab and European TS&D Manager Graphics. In 2003, they joined Innovia Films as the R&D Director, responsible for technology exploration, new product development, and regulatory affairs.
Van den Branden then moved to Cytec Solvay Group in 2007, where they served as the Global TS&D Director and later as the R&D Director for Specialty Coating Resins. Stefan was responsible for new product innovation, technology exploration, and pilot plants, with a focus on radiation curing resins and waterborne resins.
In 2013, Van den Branden joined allnex as the Technology Director. In this role, they were responsible for all research and development activities, as well as analytical services and intellectual property. Stefan played a key role in the company's industrial coatings technology, covering a business worth 2 million dollars.
After leaving allnex, Van den Branden joined SIG Combibloc in 2018 as the Vice President Global R&D, before moving to IGM Resins in 2019. At IGM Resins, they initially served as the Vice President of Technology and later took on the role of Executive Vice President Innovation and Technology.
Stefan Van den Branden completed their PhD in Chemistry at KU Leuven from 1987 to 1993. Prior to that, they attended Heilig Hartcollege Ganshoren, although the exact years and any degrees or fields of study are unknown.
