David Haines

David Haines is an experienced geologist with a robust background in project and exploration geology across various mining companies. Currently serving as a Senior Project Geologist at IGO Ltd since April 2021, David co-manages the Fraser Range Project, focusing on Magmatic Ni-Cu-Co deposits in Southern Western Australia. Previous roles include Senior Exploration Geologist at Pantoro Limited, where David oversaw regional exploration projects, and underground Mine Geologist at several companies including Pantoro and Centennial Mining Limited, where responsibilities included geological mapping, sampling, and diamond drilling program management. David’s earlier career involved positions as Exploration Manager at Octagonal Resources Limited, leading exploration efforts, and Senior Exploration Geologist at Newmont Mining Corporation, where key exploration programs were designed and implemented. David holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Geology from RMIT University and a Graduate Diploma in GIS from Curtin University.
