Dirk Garland

Dirk Garland has extensive experience in the mining and engineering sectors, currently serving as a Ventilation Officer at IGO Ltd since January 2019, where previous roles included Production Engineer and Graduate Mining Engineer. Dirk held the position of Treasurer at both the WASM Student Guild and the AusIMM Kalgoorlie Student Chapter from 2017 to 2018. A brief tenure as a Vacation Student in Mining Engineering at GOLD FIELDS occurred in late 2017. Prior to the current role, Dirk worked at Bunnings as a Team Member from 2014 to 2017 and engaged in casual work that included sign writing and carpentry from 2008 to 2016, alongside a Labourer role at Elliott's Small Engines from 2011 to 2013. Dirk earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mining Engineering from Curtin University between 2015 and 2018.
