Sharon Bihlmeyer Gauthier is an experienced pathologist and divisional head at IHA, a position held since July 2013. In addition to clinical responsibilities, Sharon has contributed to the field of pathology through active involvement with the College of American Pathologists, serving in multiple roles including Chair of the Digital Content Committee and House of Delegates Member, from September 2007 to December 2022. Previous medical leadership includes serving as Medical Director of the laboratory at Chelsea Community Hospital from January 2017 to January 2022 and as a pathologist at Michigan Multispecialty Physicians. Academic training includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish from Alma College.
