Melvin Ong

Melvin Ong has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Melvin began their career as an Emergency Response Specialist - Senior Section Commander at the Singapore Civil Defence Force in 2003. Melvin then moved on to NTUC Club, where they worked as an Assistant Manager in Joint Operations from 2009 to 2012.

In 2012, Melvin joined IHH Healthcare and held various roles within the Facilities Management department. Melvin started as a Fire Safety Manager in the Plant Operations Department, contributing to the construction process and playing a crucial role in achieving the hospital's first JCI accreditation with zero safety findings.

Over the years, Melvin progressed within IHH Healthcare, taking on responsibilities such as Manager and Senior Manager in Facilities Management. Melvin served as the Head of Department for both Security and Facilities Management, demonstrating their leadership skills and expertise.

In 2020, they joined Ngee Ann Polytechnic CET Academy as an Associate Lecturer, where they train participants in fire safety management courses accredited by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
