John Sweetwood

John Sweetwood currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Thornburg Investment Management since June 2025. Prior to this role, John held the positions of Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, as well as Managing Director at Performance Trust Capital Partners from June 2018 to June 2025. From January 2010 to May 2018, John was the Chief Information Officer and Global IT Security Officer, also serving as Managing Director at ABN AMRO Clearing USA LLC. Earlier in John’s career, positions included Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Chief Information Officer for Asia/Pacific, as well as Head of IT - Asia and Vice President at Newedge from January 2007 to October 2008. John is an alumnus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
