Rajagopalan Ramaswamy has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rajagopalan started their career as a Research Intern at the University of Alberta in 2012, focusing on image processing and computer vision. Rajagopalan then worked as an Engineer at Broadcom in 2013. From 2014 to 2018, they served as a Research Scholar at the National University of Singapore. In 2018, Rajagopalan joined Holmusk as a Senior Data Scientist, where they managed a team and worked on client-facing and internal data science projects in the healthcare and life sciences field. Rajagopalan published their work on risk-factor based segmentation of chronic kidney disease patients and successfully gained client buy-in for the next phase. In 2021, they were promoted to the role of Senior Data Scientist II. Currently, Rajagopalan is working as the Data Science Lead for IHH Healthcare, where they lead the development and deployment of data solutions to drive business growth and support decision making across APAC. Rajagopalan has successfully implemented an AI solution that resulted in significant cost savings for the company.
Rajagopalan Ramaswamy completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Singapore from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Anna University between 2009 and 2013. Rajagopalan also pursued additional certifications in Statistics for Data Science and Business Analysis from Udemy and Machine Learning from Coursera in 2018.
