Naoki Kono

Naoki Kono currently serves as the Vice President of Public Policy and Government Affairs at IHI Corporation, a position held since May 2024, focusing on government affairs and business development in the clean energy sector. Prior to this role, Kono was the Vice President of Commercial Operations at IHI Power Services Corp. from July 2021 to May 2024, overseeing corporate growth strategy and M&A strategy development, as well as asset management for biomass power plants. Kono's earlier experience at IHI Corporation spans over a decade, including roles as Deputy Manager Sales Marketing and Sales and Marketing Specialist, where responsibilities included business development for decarbonization projects and gas turbine power plants in various countries. Kono holds degrees from Waseda University and Boston University.
