Kay Wakeman is an experienced professional with a strong background in research and outreach. Currently serving as the Director of Insurance Outreach at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and Highway Loss Data Institute since March 2015, Kay has also worked as a Research Analyst. Prior experience includes roles as a Swim Coach at McGaw YMCA, where Kay guided youth swimmers in technique and personal growth, and as a GIS Specialist/Planner at the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board, focusing on data collection and spatial analysis for regional sustainability. Kay's career began as a GIS Technician at the Washington County Real Property Tax Office, performing transportation efficiency analyses. Kay holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Science from Queen's University.
