Pankaj Khanna is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar since December 2021, previously serving as an Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes a Post-Doctoral position at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology from March 2018 to November 2021, where Pankaj managed the Outcrop Analog Study for Jurassic Arabian Carbonates. Earlier internships at establishments such as Chevron, Statoil, and TGS involved advanced geological modeling and seismic data interpretation. Pankaj's research experience also includes participation in scientific expeditions with the Schmidt Ocean Institute, contributing to the mapping of underwater coral ecosystems. Pankaj holds a Ph.D. in Geology from Rice University, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Delhi University.
