Rajat Moona

Rajat Moona serves as the Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar since October 2022 and has held the position of Senior Professor and Faculty Member at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur since April 1991. Moona's career began immediately after obtaining a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 1989, leading to roles as Scientific Officer at IISc and Visiting Researcher at MIT. Moona's leadership experience includes serving as Director at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai from March 2017 to October 2022 and as Director General at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) from June 2011 to March 2017. Additionally, Moona worked as Senior Engineering Manager at Mentor Graphics from 2002 to July 2004, supervising product development in electronic design automation.
