Somak Bhattacharyya

Somak Bhattacharyya is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, where service began in December 2016, following a tenure as Assistant Professor. Prior to this position, Somak worked as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology from December 2015 to December 2016 and as a Senior Project Engineer at IIT Kanpur from February 2015 to November 2015. Earlier in the career, Somak served as a Lecturer at the Academy of Technology in 2009. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering Technologies from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (2009-2015), a Master of Technology in Radio Physics & Electronics from the University of Calcutta (2006-2008), a Bachelor of Technology in Radio Physics & Electronics from the University of Calcutta (2003-2006), and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Calcutta (2000-2003).
