Liz McKeon

Director Of Programme, Planet at IKEA Foundation

Liz McKeon has extensive experience in leadership and consultancy roles within prominent organizations. Currently serving as Director of Programme for the Planet at the IKEA Foundation since January 2014, Liz has held positions including Head of Portfolio for Climate Action and Head of Strategy. Prior to this, Liz consulted for the Open Society Foundations and Partners for Change, focusing on global innovation and international migration. Experience also includes a consultancy role at the Oak Foundation, advising the International Human Rights Programme, and serving as Interim COO at Purpose for a social justice start-up. Previously, Liz was the Director of the Special Initiative on Urban Poverty at the Ford Foundation, leading initiatives across several continents, and worked with USAID as Lead Special Assistant, influencing labor market policies in transitioning economies. Liz holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Russian Language from Georgetown University.
