Hennie de Harder

Hennie de Harder is a Senior Data Scientist and AI/ML Engineer at IKEA since November 2022, focusing on improving the order picking process through operations research techniques and enhancing algorithms for global store operations. Additionally, Hennie has been a writer for Towards Data Science since January 2020, sharing insights on machine learning and optimization. Previously, Hennie served as a Senior Data Science Consultant at BigData Republic, working on various client projects, facilitating knowledge sessions, and coaching colleagues. Hennie's experience also includes roles as a Data Scientist at Ster and Rabobank Groep, contributing to AI projects and data platform development. Hennie began a career in education as a Math Teacher at Luzac College, holding both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
