Simon Payne

Simon Payne has a substantial work experience in the geoscience industry. Simon began their career in 2002 as a Marine seismic data processor at Veritas DGC. In 2007, they joined Ikon Science as a Geoscientist and gradually moved up the ranks, becoming a Senior Geoscientist in 2010, a QI Team Lead in 2012, and a Quantitative Interpretation Manager (Americas) in 2015. Currently, Simon holds the position of Principal Geoscientist at Ikon Science, a role they have been in since July 2019.

Simon Payne completed their Bachelor's degree in Geophysics and Seismology at the University of Leeds from 1998 to 2002. Simon later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the same field at the University of Oxford from 2003 to 2006.
