Kimon Bekelis

Co-Founder & Scientific Advisory Board Member at IKONA

Kimon Bekelis is a neurosurgeon and medical researcher who has dedicated their career to improving outcomes for patients with brain aneurysms and other cerebrovascular conditions. Kimon is currently the Co-Founder and Scientific Advisory Board Member at IKONA, a company that uses artificial intelligence to improve the diagnosis and treatment of brain aneurysms. Prior to their current role, Dr. Bekelis served as an Instructor at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice, a Fellow at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, and a Resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Kimon also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Bekelis has authored numerous papers on their research findings and has been recognized as an expert in their field by their peers.

Kimon Bekelis began their educational career by obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon in the field of medicine.
