J. Andrew Baker

J. Andrew Baker (he/him) is the Coordinator of Donor Relations, MEL & IT at ILGA World.

He is an educator, administrator, artist, counsellor, and activist from Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. For the past 20 years, Andrew focused his career and volunteer work within Indigenous and LGBT communities. He has extensive development experience founding 3 LGBT organizations in Canada and implementing over 10 Indigenous Programs in Ontario. In the past 5 years, he has raised over 2 million Canadian towards LGBT and Indigenous initiatives.

He worked as the Rainbow Health Ontario Community Outreach Worker for the North Simcoe Muskoka Region from 2008 to 2014. He is a founding member of the Simcoe County LGBTQ Network. He is the Vice President of Governance for Fierté Canada Pride, the President of Fierté Simcoe Pride, the Co-President at InterPride, a faculty member in Indigenous Studies at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
