Karla Avila

Karla Avila's work experience includes serving as the Human Resources Director at ILGA World since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Licensed Psychologist at DiversaMente starting in February 2020. From December 2015 to April 2023, they held various roles at Intel Corporation, including HR Business Partner, Employee Care Case Manager, Global LGBT+ ERG Chair, and CR LGBT ERG Co-Chair. Before that, they worked as a Call Center Representative at IBM from February 2013 to February 2015.

Karla Avila completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica from 2011 to 2017. Karla then pursued a Licentiate degree in Psychology at Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología from 2018 to 2019. Alongside their formal education, Karla also obtained several certifications, including "Learning Design Thinking: Lead Change in Your Organization" from LinkedIn, "HR Automation Champions Level 1" from Intel Corporation, "Associate Professional in Human Resources - International™ (aPHRi™)" from HRCI, "Diversity and Inclusion in a Global Enterprise" from Lynda.com, and "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging" from Lynda.com.
