Katherine O'Reilly

Katherine O'Reilly is a graduate research fellow in the Human Dynamics and Controls Lab at the University of Illinois, focusing on MiaPURE, a project aimed at enhancing mobility for individuals with impairments. As a graduate head teaching assistant for Mechanical Design 1, Katherine organizes lab sections and leads design reviews. Experience includes serving as a peer mentor and vehicle dynamics engineer for Illini Electric Motorsports and holding various engineering roles at Apple, including hardware test mechanical engineer and engineering program manager. Katherine has also contributed to the Columbia University Formula Racing team as mechanical engineering chief and has researched and published findings related to assistive robotics at Columbia University. Education includes a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University.
