Evan Siegel is an accomplished attorney currently serving as Deputy Division Chief and Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Appeals Division of the Illinois Attorney General's Office since 2005. In this role, Evan reviews, edits, and oversees legal briefs while representing state departments and agencies in appeals before various courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Previous experience includes serving as Senior Attorney at MCI Corporation, handling telecommunications law, and as a Staff Attorney for both the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, litigating consumer protection cases and drafting judicial opinions. Early in their career, Evan worked as an Associate at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal, providing counsel across various legal domains. Evan holds a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brown University.
