Arielle Weininger

Chief Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center

Arielle Weininger has been working in the museum field since 1999. Arielle began at Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies as Registrar and Associate Curator, where they researched and implemented temporary exhibitions and selected objects for display. In 2010, they began working at The University of Chicago Graham School as Adjunct Faculty for the Artifact Collection Care Certificate Program. Also in 2010, they began at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center as Chief Curator of Collections and Exhibitions. In this role, they lead the curatorial and custodial responsibilities for the museum's collection of over 28,000 historical objects and artworks, as well as manages all aspects of exhibition planning and implementation for both the permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Arielle Weininger obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art History and Photography from the University of Iowa between 1992 and 1996. Arielle then went on to receive a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from SOAS University of London between 2000 and 2001.
