Kim Lutz has been in the professional workforce since 2003, starting as a Government Grants Contractor for WINGS Program, Inc. In 2016, they became the Development Director for DesignHouse Inc., where they were responsible for building relationships, researching funding opportunities, and writing proposals. In 2017, Kim was a Grant Writer for Purple Asparagus and a Grant Reviewer -- Contract for MANY. Kim then moved on to become the Grants Manager for Chicago Run in 2018. In 2021, Kim became the Grants Manager for North Shore Senior Center, and in 2022, they are currently the Associate Director of Grants for the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center. Additionally, since 2008, Kim has been Self-Employed as a Recipe Developer/Author, having authored five cookbooks and co-authored two others, as well as contributing to other books, articles and websites.
Kim Lutz attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Kim then went on to the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership from 1995 to 1997, where they earned a Master's Degree in Human Services Administration.
