Raj Echambadi currently serves as the President of the Illinois Institute of Technology, a position held since August 2021. Prior to this role, Raj was the Dunton Family Dean of the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University from August 2017 to August 2021, where leadership spanned over 200 faculty members and 6,000 students, emphasizing experiential learning. Between December 2010 and July 2017, Raj held multiple leadership roles at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, including Alan J. and Joyce D. Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Strategic Innovation, focusing on technology entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships. Earlier academic experience includes serving as Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida and a sales executive at Castrol. Raj earned a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Houston and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
