Nashwa Mekky

Nashwa Mekky, Ed.D, pHCLE, is currently the Chief People, Equity, and Culture Officer at Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. With previous experience as a School Principal at BEACH PARK CCSD 3 SCHOOL DISTRICT and an Associate Principal at Deerfield Public Schools District 109, Nashwa has a background in education leadership. Nashwa has also served as a Peer Mentor at vPeer, a 5th Grade Teacher at Arlington Heights School District 25, and a Reading Teacher at Chicago Public Schools. Nashwa holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Western Illinois University and is currently pursuing a Chief School Business Official degree at Northern Illinois University.
