Prior to these roles, Lee has held positions such as Academy Presenter at the Illinois Principals Association, Principal at Morton Junior High School, Lettie Brown Elementary School, and Deer Creek Mackinaw Junior High School. Lee's educational background includes a Doctor of Education from Aurora University, a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Product Design from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Bradley University, and a Superintendent Endorsement in Leadership and Administration from Fort Hays State University.

Illinois Principals Association's mission is to develop, support, and advocate for innovative educational leaders.
