Allyson Manion

Allyson Manion serves as an Instructional Assistant Professor at Illinois State University since January 2020, following a career as a Special Education Teacher in various educational settings. From June 2016 to January 2020, Allyson worked in a low-incidence environment focusing on students with diverse disability labels, and previously co-taught at Calumet Middle School with a caseload of 19 students. Allyson's experience also includes creating lesson plans for summer programs at Elim Christian Services, where responsibilities ranged from being a Special Education Teacher to a Paraeducator supporting students with disabilities. Allyson holds a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning: ESL from the University of St. Francis and a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University.
