Barbara Meyer

Barbara Meyer is an accomplished academic professional with extensive experience at Illinois State University, serving as the Associate Dean for Research and International Opportunities in the College of Education and as an Associate Professor of Secondary Teacher Education. With a strong background in teacher education, Barbara has conducted research on electronic portfolios and has led the School of Teaching & Learning, overseeing various educational programs. In addition to roles as Chair and Assistant Chair, Barbara has served as Acting Director of the ISU Laboratory Schools, demonstrating leadership in both administrative and educational capacities. Barbara holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Doctorate in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership from the University of Memphis, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Ohio Wesleyan University.
