Carla Birckelbaw

Carla Birckelbaw serves as the Executive Director of Client Services in the Office of Technology Solutions at Illinois State University, a position held since May 2000. In this role, Carla oversees the Client Services team, which includes the central service desk, knowledge team, and an Endpoint Support team that caters to about one third of the faculty and staff at ISU. Prior to this, Carla held various directorial positions at Illinois State University, including Director of Client Services, Director of Service Portfolio Management, Director of Computer Infrastructure Support, and Help Desk Manager. Carla’s career began at Barnes & Noble, where Carla served as Store Manager from August 1994 to May 2000. Carla holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned between 1986 and 1990.
