Lucas Maxwell

Lucas Maxwell serves as the Chairperson and Associate Professor of Agricultural Education at Illinois State University since August 2017, where also holds the position of program coordinator and previously served as an assistant professor. Prior to this role, Lucas Maxwell was an assistant professor at Arkansas Tech University from August 2012 to August 2017 and coordinated recruitment, retention, and placement at Southern Illinois University from August 2005 to August 2007. Early career experience includes working as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Iroquois West High School from July 2002 to July 2005, along with serving as a board member for AGR - Beta Alpha during the same period. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Agricultural Teacher Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, earned between 2008 and 2010, an MS in Agricultural Education from Southern Illinois University from 2002 to 2005, and a BS in Agricultural Education from Southern Illinois University from 1997 to 2001.
