Rachel Kobus

Rachel (Marco) Kobus is an experienced professional in alumni engagement and marketing, currently serving as the Director of Alumni Engagement at Illinois State University since March 2014. In this role, Rachel oversees marketing and communication for over 243,000 alumni, manages large events, and develops strategic digital marketing plans across 30 social media channels. Previous roles include Associate Director of Alumni Engagement and various positions in marketing and public relations at both Illinois State University and Sauk Valley Community College. Rachel holds a Master’s degree in Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations/Psychology from Illinois State University. Additionally, Rachel has experience teaching communication courses and has contributed to multiple marketing initiatives and community-focused projects throughout the career.
