Cynthia Grant has extensive legal experience, currently serving as an Assistant Clerk at the Illinois Supreme Court since 2013. Prior to this role, Cynthia worked as Assistant Legal Counsel at the Illinois Secretary of State from March 2009 to 2013 and served as Assistant Counsel to the Speaker at the Illinois House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009. Cynthia holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, earned between 2002 and 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Illinois Supreme Court, in addition to being the state’s highest court, is responsible for the state’s unified trial court, one appellate court with five districts, and several supporting units. General administrative and supervisory authority over the court system is vested in the Supreme Court. The Illinois Supreme Court is committed to improving access to the Illinois courts and making sure we serve the public as effectively, efficiently, and expeditiously as possible.
