Joe McGowan

Joe McGowan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and innovation management. Currently serving as a Sr. Research Analyst and Open Innovation Liaison at ITW since March 2013, Joe focuses on researching new technologies to foster organic growth and developing strategic relationships with universities and entrepreneurial entities. Previously, Joe held various roles including Innovation Manager at ITW and a freelancer specializing in licensing and commercialization for consumer products. With a strong sales background at Bang & Olufsen Chicago, where Joe achieved top sales performance and built significant business relationships, Joe also co-founded McGowan Communications, a consultancy specializing in marketing and client engagement. Joe holds a Master of Science in Product Design and Development and a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication, both from Northwestern University.
