Katie Lawler

Katie Lawler serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at ITW since October 2014. In addition, Katie Lawler holds a position as a Board Member at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation since June 2024. Previous experience includes roles as Executive Vice President of Human Resources at GATX Corporation from May 2008 to September 2014, and Senior Vice President of Business Operations at Newsday, Tribune Company from March 2004 to April 2008, where Katie Lawler also served as Vice President of Human Resources. Earlier career milestones feature positions as Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Counsel at Tribune Company from 1997 to 2004, and as an Associate Attorney at Franczek Sullivan and Wildman Harrold Allen Dixon. Educationally, Katie Lawler obtained a JD from Notre Dame Law School and a BA in History from the College of the Holy Cross, alongside participation in the Women's Director Development Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management since 2019.
