Michelle Salas

Michelle Salas has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Michelle currently holds the position of Director of Perioperative Services at CGH Medical Center, a role they began in July 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Perioperative Services at Illinois Valley Community Hospital from December 2016. At the same hospital, they also worked as an Orthopedic Care Coordinator from July 2013 and as an RN Surgical Scrub/Circulator from May 2001 to July 2013. Michelle began their career at Illinois Valley Community Hospital as an RN on the Surgical floor in August 1998 and held that role until May 2001. Michelle started their professional journey as a Home Health Aide at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in June 1995 and worked in that role until May 1998. Finally, they gained initial work experience as an Office Assistant at New York Style Bagel Nabisco from June 1990 to June 1994.

Michelle Salas attended Lincoln College from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration with a focus on Health Services Administration. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1998, they attended Illinois Valley Community College and earned an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.
