Shaun Madho holds an MBA with a focus on manufacturing from GIBS Business School and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Currently serving as a Group Process Support Specialist at Illovo Sugar Africa since December 2021, Shaun brings extensive experience in the sugar industry. Notably, Shaun was the SASTA President from October 2019 to November 2022, where leadership was exercised in promoting scientific knowledge within the sector. Previous roles include Head of the Factory Support Division at the Sugar Milling Research Institute NPC and Group Leader of Adaptive Research, along with a tenure as a Senior Process Engineer and Process Engineer at various Illovo Sugar factories. Shaun's expertise encompasses factory performance management, technical support, and cost reduction initiatives in sugar production.
