Eyal Ben David

Eyal Ben David is a seasoned bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in genomics and AI research. Currently serving as Sr. Manager at Illumina, Eyal leads an interdisciplinary research team at the Illumina AI Research Lab, focusing on the regulatory genome through genetic variation and multiomics. Previously, Eyal held the position of Manager at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where research blended genomics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology to explore genetic variation's impact on traits, with notable projects involving single-cell RNA-seq and advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques. Eyal's academic foundation includes a PhD in Human Genetics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, alongside postdoctoral research at UCLA that investigated the genetics of complex traits and the biology of selfish genes.
